Faux Pas

I messed up.

I was supposed to use my Eiffel Tower cookie cutter from Fancy Flours to celebrate the Kentucky Derby.  It would not have been impossible seeing as how Louisville, home to the Kentucky Derby, was named after King Louis the XVI of France AND the fleur de lis is on Kentucky's state flag.  My idea was to decorate an Eiffel Tower for each of the ten horses who ran for the roses - each tower featuring the colors of their jockey's silks.

Work, construction, soccer, and a birthday party consumed my Saturday.

Nonetheless I was hell bent on baking my Eiffel Tower cookies this weekend, because the last thing I wanted to do was ship late...again!

An email from a loyal reader on Thursday coupled with a note home from Matthew's school on Friday provided the perfect new occasion.  This week is Teacher Appreciation Week and baking cookies was the perfect way to say thank you to all the educators in my boys' lives.

Here's what I came up with...

Add a little packaging, a new slogan... "For All You Do, Merci Beaucoup!" and... voi la, a teacher gift that shines.

The cookies are black and white but the treat is far from generic, don't you think?

Your turn.  Hit me with your best shot.  What suggestions do you have for how else we might use the Eiffel Tower?  Visit us in the Community Forum labeled, Today's Post and tell us the occasion you celebrate and the slogan might you use?

Shining off until tomorrow...
